November 15 marked one year since we went live in Workday Human Capital Management (HR/payroll) and Finance. As we enter our second year in this new system, it’s important to recognize the tremendous effort this transition has required from staff, faculty, and students. This first year has truly been a tremendous effort between all members of our community who are committed to making this system work. Thank you for embracing the challenge and helping shape the future of Workday together.

A new role in Workday called “Guest Reviewer” has been created to provide individuals view-only access to Job Requisitions and the Candidate Grid.

Workday training courses have a new home! All Workday training courses that were previously on ELMS-Canvas and Open Learning are now available in Workday Learning, which is Workday’s Learning Management System.

As of today, Procurements for the University System of Maryland Office, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, and University of Maryland Shady Grove will no longer be managed out of the University of Maryland, College Park, but out of a new shared services model under the University System of Maryland, the Strategic Sourcing Procurement Center (SSPC).
