ERP Services Work Efforts
What We Do
The ERP Services team works continually to refine and improve the Workday platform to meet our community’s business needs. Our work is guided by our user community via the following three platforms:
ServiceNow and Support
Supporting the university community through learning to use Workday is a collaborative effort between the ERP Services team and central units like University Human Resources, the Office of Finance, Procurement, and more. Together we manage support cases via our shared support platform, ServiceNow. For ERP Services, support cases encompass a variety of activities, including resolving technical issues, addressing system bugs, and assisting end users with business process inquiries related to their daily job functions.
ERP Work Requests
ERP Services maintains an active list of Work Requests (formerly referred to as “Enhancements”) to ensure the university’s ERP system continues to meet current production and evolving operational needs. This can include completing improvements to the system submitted by users, Workday Analysts, as well as facilitating key business activities that are a part of the university business lifecycle like seasonal hiring spikes, year-end close, COLA and/or merit, and more.
Workday Releases
Workday is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, which means it continuously evolves to meet changing global technologies and business needs. To support this, Workday issues biannual releases that introduce new features and functionality. ERP Services ensures our Workday environment remains current by evaluating and implementing relevant updates from each release.
