Workday Training
There are on-demand virtual learning courses available to help you learn Workday. Previously available on ELMS-Canvas, these courses now live in Workday Learning.
What Courses Should I Take?
First, all Workday users should complete Introduction to Workday. This is a pre-requisite for all other Workday training courses. For some users, Introduction to Workday is the only Workday training needed.
However, users with other HR (Human Capital Management, or HCM) or finance roles have a number of recommended courses to complete.
Please note that users who completed Workday training courses in ELMS-Canvas before October 3 will have their course completions reflected in Workday Learning. You can review your completed courses by viewing your Transcript.
After completing Introduction to Workday, you should find out your assigned security roles, which will help you identify which additional courses to complete. Click the button below for instructions on how to find your security roles.
Role-Based Course Programs
If you have roles assigned besides "Assignee," there are recommended courses for you organized by Workday Learning Programs. There are two programs: Human Capital Management (HCM) and Finance.
Managers should work with employees to ensure they complete all courses necessary to succeed in their roles. Review the Intended Audience in each course description to determine if a course is applicable to the work you do in Workday.
Human Capital Management (HCM) Courses
This program is the consolidated curriculum intended for Workday users with Human Capital Management (HCM) or Human Resources (HR) roles.
Note: Workers with the HR Analyst or Partner role(s) MUST complete the HR Analyst and HR Partner Learning Program in order to obtain and maintain security access in Workday.
Finance Courses
This program is the consolidated curriculum intended for Workday users with Finance roles.
If you would prefer to view all HCM and FIN courses at once, you can click the button below to view the courses in the Workday Resource Hub.
