November 15 marked one year since we went live in Workday Human Capital Management (HR/payroll) and Finance. As we enter our second year in this new system, it’s important to recognize the tremendous effort this transition has required from staff, faculty, and students.
System Updates and Improvements
Workday training moved to Workday Learning
All Workday training courses that were previously on ELMS-Canvas and Open Learning are now available in Workday Learning, which is Workday’s Learning Management System.
New Workday Recruiting Role
A new role in Workday called “Guest Reviewer” has been created to provide individuals view-only access to Job Requisitions and the Candidate Grid.
PRD Midway Feedback Underway
PRD Midway Feedback is underway in Workday! Employees should have completed their midway feedback in Workday by November 14, and managers have until December 19 to complete their portion. UHR Staff Relations has office hours and information sessions available.
Shift of Procurement to shared model for our Tenant Partner Institutions
Procurements for the University System of Maryland Office, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, and University of Maryland Shady Grove is no longer being managed out of the University of Maryland, College Park, but out of a new shared services model under the University System of Maryland, the Strategic Sourcing Procurement Center (SSPC).
