New Job Profiles Added
Per campus feedback, we have created new Trainee Job Profiles to better meet department hiring needs. These trainee job profiles are used for hiring students who are not currently registered at UMCP or UMES—these could be students registered at other Maryland institutions or high school students, who therefore do not have student profiles in Workday.
Hourly Trainees
For hourly trainees, the job profiles are:
- Trainee - Other (Does not route to ISSS)
- Trainee - Non UMCP/ UMES Student
These use an employee type of “C1” and reside in the Administrative Services Hourly job family.
Salaried Trainees
For salaried trainees, the job profile is:
- Trainee - Stipend
This trainee salaried job profile uses an employee type of “Trainee” and resides in the Administrative Support job family.
Please note:
- The Student employee type cannot be used to hire trainees.
- For USG workers, use the job profile Trainee-Other for hourly jobs.
