New Functionality: Change Job Templates

Home New Functionality: Change Job Templates

The Change Job business process has been updated to include several new templates designed to provide a more streamlined approach to processing worker position changes.

The following are the new Change Job templates that are now available in Workday:

  1. Change in Location
  2. Change Manager
  3. Transfer
  4. Change FTE
  5. Work Shift Change
  6. Elect Comp Time or Time Entry Method
  7. Reappointment/Renewal
  8. Change Job: Other Reasons

These Change Job templates provide a more efficient and consistent approach to processing Change Job actions. The templates consolidate and organize the information required for different types of job changes, making it easier for users to select the appropriate template and complete the necessary steps.

With this functionality, Change Job actions are initiated using the Start Job Change task in Workday. To select a template, the HR Analyst and HR Partner roles should navigate to the worker’s profile and select Actions > Job Change > Start Job Change. Users may also search for Start Job Change in the Workday Search bar, followed by the worker’s name.

By providing a standardized process, the new templates help reduce unnecessary steps, improve data accuracy, and create a better user experience.

The resources included in this communication should be referenced to learn more about the templates, the sub-processes that are included, and the approval routing.
