We’ve made an update to several Workday Create Request types to improve how requests are labeled and searched. Previously, request descriptions displayed the name of the person submitting the request (the Initiator), which sometimes made it difficult to quickly identify who the request was actually for.
Now, when a request is submitted using the “On Behalf of” field, the name of the employee or student entered will appear directly in the request description. This change makes it much easier to search for, identify, and manage requests—especially for teams handling high volumes of transactions.
This update applies to the following request types: Overpayment Recovery, Pay Input, Manual Leave Payout, Reinstatements, and NRA Fellowship Payment. By ensuring the correct individual’s name is reflected in the request description, users can more efficiently locate and track the items they need.
