A Fresh Look for elevate.umd.edu and erp.umd.edu
You may notice a refreshed look and feel on both elevate.umd.edu and erp.umd.edu. We’ve updated these sites to a more advanced web platform that supports a cleaner, more modern experience and positions us well for future enhancements.
This upgrade also brings both websites more in line with UMD’s latest branding and current web trends intended to make browsing easier and more user-friendly. One of the most notable improvements is a new collapsible navigation menu that you can toggle on or off by clicking the icon in the top left corner of the site on all pages.

Workday Transformation Report
As we continue enhancing Workday to improve the user experience, several important updates are on the horizon:
Spring 2026 Workday Feature Release
Twice a year, Workday updates our system to deliver new features, fix issues, and improve usability of Workday. The first Workday Release of 2026 will go live on March 14, 2026. As a part of the release process, the ERP Services team tests the system to make sure everything works as expected, identifies any resource materials that might need updating, and informs our users of any changes that impact them. Often, the updates are behind-the-scenes and impact mainly central and ERP staff, but sometimes there are updates that impact all users. New Supplier Registration Platform (Workday Strategic Sourcing) Coming in March
Beginning March 2nd, there will be a new supplier registration platform, Workday Strategic Sourcing. Look out for links from Procurement to the Dedicated Open Office Hours:

News, Updates and Improvements
Workday Learning Course Rollouts
Two major training initiatives have been rolled out to all UMD staff and faculty in Workday Learning. This is the first time these staff-wide training courses have been delivered through this system:
- The biennial Title IX sexual harassment trainings for all UMD employees
- Defend Your Shell, the mandatory information the technology security awareness training for UMD
This is a step forward for employee development and education, and we look forward to continuing to expand our Workday Learning catalog.
Updates for Attachments in Hire, Change Job, or Add Job Event
There is a business process update in the Hire, Change Job, and Add Job business processes to increase efficiency and reduce delays regarding who can update attachments. The HR Divisional Partner will now have access to update attachments for Faculty, MFRI, and Athletic Hires.
